Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Tony Wolters (SS, Carolina): 2-for-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 SO

After hitting his eighth home run and 30th double last night, there is no doubt that Tony Wolters is a legitimate prospect going forward for the Cleveland Indians. Sure, names like Francisco Lindor, Dorssys Paulino, and Ronny Rodriguez remain ahead of him, but there’s just something about Wolters’ desire that keeps him going. After a terrible April (.130/.231/.159 slash line), Wolters made adjustments and has raked since (.286/.339/.453 slash line). Even more impressive is how the 20-year old has handled the jump from Mahoning Valley to Carolina successfully. Wolters may not have the most tools in the organization, but he certainly has the most “want.” Read More…
