Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Note that Akron was off last night.

Francisco Lindor (SS, Carolina): 3-for-5, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 SO, 1 SB

It is getting harder and harder to keep seeing Lindor still down in Carolina. The shortstop is one of the best prospects in all of baseball, though he still needs time down in High-A to get more reps and see how the league adjusts to him as time goes on. The lack of teams in the Carolina League makes adjustments paramount and it will be interesting to see how Lindor reacts two, three, four times around the league. If the shortstop keep producing at anywhere near this level (.340/.408/.480 line, 16:17 SO:BB), then he will move much quicker than the original plan for him this year. Read More…
