Bryson Myles (LF, Carolina): 1-for-5, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO
It took 14 innings for Myles and the Mudcats offense to win, but they eventually broke through. Myles sent the fans home happy Thursday by launching a three-run walk-off home run in the 14th inning, giving the Mudcats a 5-2 victory. July has been kind to Myles (.296/.356/.481 line in 14 games), though combining some early struggles and yet another injury, 2013 as a whole has not been memorable. As Myles is starting to get a little up there in age — he will be 24 in September — and that the outfielder has missed time with injuries in each of his three professional seasons, Myles could be in a little trouble going into 2014 without putting things together the rest of the way.
