Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.

Jesus Aguilar (1B, Akron): 2-for-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SO

According to Aeros manager Edwin Rodriguez, around the beginning of June, Aguilar made an adjustment to his swing that, in the manager’s view, gives Aguilar a much better major league swing. Adjustments are talked about all the time, but with results like these, it is much easier to take notice:

June-July: .284/.374/.455 line, .171 ISO, 42:25 SO:BB in 51 games

Since the adjustment, Aguilar is reaching base much more consistently, is showing more power, and has not seen his plate discipline stats suffer.
