Bryson Myles (LF, Carolina): 3-for-4, 2 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 SO, 1 SB
It is great to see Myles healthy again and producing. The outfielder turned in a great July (.326/.389/.505 line in 25 games) and continued that success in August. It is always dangerous to take season splits as signs of improvement or regression, but given the fact that Myles is playing healthy, let’s take that jump. Thursday is an example of what makes Myles such an intriguing prospect: he has power, he has speed, and he can make a real impact on the game. Myles may only have 60 games at the High-A level, but when the inevitable Carlos Moncrief and Tyler Holt promotions happen in Akron, I would not mind seeing what Myles can do in Double-A.
