(8.24.13) B-Mets strike early and often, defeat Aeros 10-2

AKRON, OH — The Binghamton Mets scored early on Brett Myers and never let up, beating the Akron Aeros 10-2 Saturday night at Canal Park.

Myers — who started for the Aeros (63-69) on a major league rehab assignment — did not look good. The right-hander was throwing in the uppers 80s but did not seem to have a command of his pitchers. Myers threw 16 pitches in 0.1 innings — nine for strikes — while allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits, no walks, and no strikeouts.

Manager Edwin Rodriguez was not concerned about Myers’ struggles, however, and was encouraged instead by seeing the right-hander simply back on the mound. Read More…
