Joe Wendle (2B, Akron): 3-for-5, 1 R, 1 3B
Everyone knows it is still early and we cannot draw any firm conclusions from the games played just yet, but Wendle is putting together a compelling case that he will maintain his production after making the jump to Double-A. Wendle was a little old for High-A last year, and though he tore up the Carolina League, there was still a question of whether the soon-to-be 24-year-old was just taking advantage of being more experienced than the other players. With a .308/.419/.500 line and 4:5 SO:BB in seven games, Wendle is simply continuing to do what he does best: hit the ball.
